TEA REVIEW: Nepali Tea Traders’ Emerald Spring Green Tea

Nepali Tea Traders Emerald Spring Green Tea Spoon

Description: “It is a mild green tea, yet has some definite complexities to the flavour and aroma.”  – via Amoda Monthly Box

Review: I was pretty excited when I saw not one, but two teas from Nepali Tea Traders! It just so happens that this month I was going to post a flight of teas from the same brand, and I really enjoyed them!

This is a first flush tea from Nepal. I haven’t had many first flushes before, so I was curious. When I first saw the dry leaves, I thought it was a white tea. The leaves were fuzzy and smelt like spring – floral and grassy. The liquor had a sweeter aroma and was so pale yellow that I almost didn’t see that the water had changed colour.

The liquor had a very delicate taste, with no bitter aftertaste. It does leave the mouth feeling a bit dry. This is a tea you have to sip in a relaxing mood to really enjoy its full potential (3/5 rating).
