Amoda Tea’s Citrus Cream Earl Grey | Tea Review

Description: “In this blend we’ve bumped the orange up a notch by adding two different types and we’ve mixed in some creamy sweet vanilla.” – via Amoda Monthly Box

Review: Earl Grey is a classic blend that I am pretty fond of (London Fogs anyone?), but I always like see how it can be expanded upon. As a citrus fan as well, this was already a double win.

The dry blend smelled mostly of bergamot oil, which isn’t surprising because it is a very dominating aroma. The blend had a nice mixture of mandarine peels and calendula petals which gave it a nice pop of yellow and orange colour.

The liquor also had a nice bergamot aroma and had a reddish-orange colour. There were also some small particles floating at the bottom of the cup. I found, despite drinking it mildly warm, it had a great refreshing feeling! I ended up drinking most of the cup in one go.

The liquor had a nice classic earl grey taste with some faint orange notes. When I got closer to the bottom of the cup, I found there were more citrus flavours. Letting the liquor cool ended up really brought out the flavours better. I recommend this blend to someone who enjoys Earl Grey or citrus flavours (3.5/5 rating).
