CitizenTea’s Citrus Mate | Tea Review

I haven’t had yerba mate for some time, so I was excited to see this blend in my 25 Day Tea Journey set and was excited to try it out!

Description: “An energizing blend of mate, lemon, orange, and mint.”

Review: The dry blend smelled mostly of the rooibos – earthy intermixed with a sweet peachy smell. After brewing, I was happy to see that the liquor did have a nice pink ‘peach” colour and that familiar candied peach smell.

To put it bluntly, this tisane tasted of peach first and foremost. However, it was more subtle and not in your face overly sweet or artificial, which I enjoyed. I read the CitizenTea’s website and it mentioned this one would be good iced, which I can see the potential of. I think that I would even like this one better iced because it may bring out more of the sweetness from the blend (3/5 rating).
