CitizenTea’s Jasmine Superior | Tea Review

When I first started my tea journey, I admit I wasn’t the biggest floral fan. However, over the years, I have grown to really like it!

Description: “A delicate green tea layered with jasmine petals for a fragrant and floral cup.”

Review: What largely made me fall for jasmine is when I visited Hong Kong and went to some tea shops. There that I learned the extensive amount of time needed to make jasmine tea. It really made me appreciate the tea a lot more!

With a name like “Jasmine Superior,” I can safely announce that the dry and wet leaf, as well as the liquor, had a very strong floral jasmine smell. As soon as I lifted the tea to my nose I could get a whiff of the vibrant jasmine smell.

The liquor started off sweet, then changed to more floral, and there was a good hint of jasmine that lingered on the tongue and the back of the throat. The more I drank it, the more I enjoyed it, and I even liked it cold! That being said, make sure to keep the tea at 3 minutes when steeping because going up to 4 (which is the range the company suggested), made the liquor a bit too bitter for my taste (3.5/5 rating).
