CitizenTea’s Market Spice | Tea Review

I haven’t had a chance to visit a spice market, however, I can only imagine how aromatic it would smell!

Description: “Black tea blended with warm spices and orange peel.”

Review: The second I opened the tin, the smell of cloves filled the room and lingered. It was a very warm and spiced smell, which I enjoyed. The marigold flower blossoms gave a visual contrast to the dark tea leaves. Much like the dry blend, the reddish-brown liquor also had a similar clove smell, with an earthy undertone.

The liquor had a very strong clove flavour, which dominated over any other flavour. However, due to the inclusion of the peppercorns, the liquor tickled the back of my throat going down and made my nose itch slightly. The lingering note at the tail end of the sip was floral. Overall, the tea tasted like Christmas in a cup (3/5 rating)!
