I have had goji blends in the past with mixed results, so I wanted to see if this would sway me one way or the other!
Description: “A juicy, refreshing blend of schisandra and goji berries.”
Review: Review: Smell wise, I was already captivated! It was sweet, fruity, berry-like, and actually reminded me most of strawberries with a hint of tartness. The wet leaf took on more of an earthy character and I was only able to faintly detect the berry notes from the dry blend. Same was true for the pale yellow-green liquor.
I have to admit, when I first sipped the liquor, I detected something I had never tasted before. After giving the ingredients a quick scan over, I assumed it was the schisandra berries – which I liked! The liquor itself had a nice range of flavours, it was a bit sweet, a bit fruity, and a bit tart. It did leave the tip of my tongue feeling a bit dry, with some bitterness at the tail end of the sip (3.5/5 rating).
