Tea Shirt Chocolate Cloud spoon

When I see chocolate blends, I admit, it is hard for me to resist and this was no exception!

Description: “Nutty, chocolaty, creamy, smooth and delicious. Full cocoa flavour with a sweetness from the roobois that carries through to the finish.”

Instructions: Add 1 tsp/3g tea | Pour 100°C water | Steep 8-10 min | Enjoy!

Review: I first really came to notice this brand when t3a_am0 had tried this blend and really enjoyed it. Her pictures and review really drew me in, and I ended up buying a few things she had enjoyed – this being one of them.

The dry leaves had a good amount of cocoa shells with a sprinkle of cornflowers that added a bright pop of colour in contrast to the cocoa and rooibos. It had a sweet, nutty, and floral aroma that reminded me of a dessert or a Ferrero Rocher chocolate candy (which I am a huge fan of!). The wet infusion was more honey-like, with earthy undertones, as well as a similar smell from the liquor. The reddish-brown liquor had lost some of the dessert notes that I had smelled in the dry blend and had become more earthy.

While hot, it tasted like bittersweet dark chocolate, and the liquor carried a lovely aroma. I was able to smell some of the nutty dessert character I noticed in the dry blend. When cooled, the chocolate flavour became deeper and I was able to taste some nuttiness. The chocolate taste returned and was the flavour that lingered, along with some faint floralness.

Letting this one cool helped develop the flavours. However, cooling for too long made the flavour dissipate. Moreover, I feel like adding some milk, or even taking the time to make this into a latte, could make this taste similar to a hot chocolate. As this is a caffeine-free dessert blend, I am pretty happy about it and I was sad to see it gone when I finished my cup (4/5 rating).

This sounds like quite a nice blend! Ive heard both good and bad things about Tea Shirt but I think I might have to make an order and try some stuff out

I liked this one a lot! However, I find with blends, taste preferences come out more predominately and feelings are more polarized.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a chocolate blend, or at least, not one that I recall. I generally like chocolate, so I imagine that I’d probably enjoy a blend like this one as a dessert tea (or as a late night chocolatey indulgence).

I would suggest it! I find sometimes chocolate teas can be a bit hit or miss because sometimes they don’t always have a strong chocolate flavour. But this one did!
