I’ve sampled a handful of JusTea straight teas in the past and really enjoyed them. This black tea sounded equally as good, so I wanted to give it a go!
Description: “Wonderfully malty and smooth on its own, this tea should be enjoyed without milk and sugar.”

Review: I’ve been craving black teas lately, and I’m glad I tried this one. The long twisted leaves were dark brown, almost black, with a sweet, fruity, and plumy smell. After a 3 minute infusion, the long leaves had slightly unfurled and were milk chocolate coloured. The leaves had an earthy fruity smell, with some underlying charcoal.
The liquor was a reddish amber brown with a sweet, nutty, and grape smell. The tea tasted like it smelled: earthy, fruity, and malty, with some lingering grape and nuttiness during the tail end of the sip. Once the liquor was cooled, the taste leaned more toward raisins and nutty. Overall, this was very easy tea to drink and I quickly had none left in the cup. This is a good black tea for people who like a sweeter fruitier black tea compared to a more earthy taste (3.5/5 rating).
