DAVIDsTEA’s Cool Eucalyptus | Tea Review

Being a fan of eucalyptus in other blends, I was excited when I saw this in the shop!

Description: “This energizing green tea will get you through the day. With sinus-clearing spearmint, eucalyptus, schizandra and juniper berries, you’ll be feeling better in no time.”

Instructions: 1-2 Perfect Spoonfuls |475 ml (16 oz) of 85/185° | 3-4 minutes

Review: I sadly suffer from sinus infections during the winter. So, I am always looking for something to make the journey a tiny bit better. I came across this blend when I was in the DAVIDsTEA shop. Since I enjoy Cold 911 (the old version) and the eucalyptus, this caught my attention.

The dry blend smelled of juniper, mint, and eucalyptus. It was a pretty blend the indigo and reddish hibiscus, currents, and full berries. After 1 Perfect Spoonful and 3 minutes, the liquor had a pretty purple hue. It had a nice herbal and minty smell that was soothing.

Taste-wise, the liquor was a mixture of the mint and fruitiness with a hint of tartness from the hibiscus, then ending off with the eucalyptus. It had a nice soothing sensation at the back of the throat. I liked that this had a bit of caffeine because most are herbal blends. My mom also tried some and she enjoyed it. Lastly, this tea can be made hot or iced but the label mentioned that this is ‘not for latte.’ (3.5/5 rating).
