On cold winter afternoons, I want something comforting and warm, therefore the mint and spices in this blend sounded like it would hit the spot!
Description: “Explore Northern Africa, from its souks to its deserts, with our soothing and lightly spiced mint green tea.”
Instructions: 1-2 Perfect Spoonfuls | 16 oz/475 ml | 85℃/185℉
Review: While I don’t always reach for mint teas, I do like them on certain occasions like cold days and nights. The dry blend had a strong mint, spiced, and peppy smell, which tickled my nose. The blend was earthy green and brown coloured with leaves, stems, ginger, fennel, cardamom, and peppermint. After infusing for 3 to 4 minutes, the dark earthy toned wet blend had a peppery, woodsy, and spiced smell, which was an absence of mint.
However, the dark amber liquor had a dominating mint and spiced smell and an equally strong mint taste. The sip started with a punch of mint, followed by spices, and finished with a kick of warmth at the back of the throat and mouth. When cool, the liquor had a sweet start and became earthy fennel, and peppery.
The blend was warm and comforting and I personally enjoyed it hot better than cooled. Since it has other ingredients, I found the green tea was muted and the blend overall had some earthy spiced notes (3/5 rating).

The question of the post: Do you like mint blends?
This does sound like a nice blend for winter! Just from the name I expected it to be pretty much just mint. I like that there are some spices, too!
Yes! The blend had a nice assortment of spices and was comforting!
I don’t always love mint blends – I usually like straight-up peppermint tea or a green + mint combo! I have this blend somewhere in my stash haha. But I really like Smith Tea’s Silent Night for a cozy mint blend – it sounds like it’d be similar to this one, just minus the green tea!
That’s fair! It wasn’t what I was expecting because I’m also use to more peppermint and green tea blends. But it hit the spot for being comforting! Thanks for reading. 🙂
I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about this blend!
Yes! I found it relaxing. I don’t always pick up minty teas, but this was nice.
I expected it to be nothing but mint given the name it deffinelty has a unique ingredients list.
