The original intention for this review was to taste a white, green, and black tea from Nepali Tea Traders. However, I received the same green tea, Emerald Spring, in my Amoda Tea monthly box, so I gave it its own review.
Over the past holiday season, I noticed that Teabox had a large range of sample packs. Teabox is an Indian tea brand that was founded in 2012. Based on their website, they have a nice selection of teas and a few of their sets caught my eye, so I had to buy them!
“A fusion of energy and tranquillity from both Black and White Chinese tea.”
Review: When I originally received this tea the mail, the leaves were very broken. This may have happened during shipping since the tea was not sent in a bubble wrapped envelope or box. From my understanding, broken leaves may change the taste of the brewed tea.
That being said, the dry and wet blend smelled very grassy. The liquor was subtly floral with grassy aftertones. It left my mouth feeling slightly dry and was a deep yellow. Since it was a black tea and white tea blend, the flavours were very delicate (3/5 rating).
A cool, delicate white tea from Fujian, with fresh notes of garden-picked snow peas.
Review: Slightly fuzzy leaves; tea had a grassy aroma and taste; a pale yellow liquor (3/5 rating).
Silver needle is a prized white tea, often understood to be the best white tea.
Review: Wet leaves had a grassy floral aroma; tea become sweeter and grassier with more infusions (3/5 rating).

Review: With full raspberries in the blend, it’s understandable there is a faint berry aroma from blend and liquor and a very mild tangy taste (2/5 rating).
