I had come across CitizenTea’s brand a while back when I was lucky enough to win a tea from them in an IG giveaway! After that, I was hooked and I was so excited when I saw that they had an advent calendar, called the 25 Day Tea Journey! For the next 25 days, I will be posting a tea a day and bringing you along with me on the journey. Then I will post my final thoughts on the 26th!
After trying some aged teas from The Treasure Green Tea Company, I was craving some more. So, I decided to try the raw (sheng) pu-erhs I received while I was in Vancouver! One tea is in cake format and the other is loose.
When I visit a new place, I can’t help but scout out tea shops. While in Vancouver, Canada, I had the opportunity to visit Treasure Green Tea Shop. Treasure Green advertises themselves as the “first authentic Chinese tea shop in Vancouver”, opening in 1981.
Walking into a DAVIDsTEA is what started my tea adventure over 3 years ago, so when I saw that they were celebrating their 10th anniversary, I knew I had to check it out. As a tribute, DAVIDsTEA re-released a handful of fan favs and I picked up a set!
I always enjoy tasting a flight of teas and learning more about each unique tea and the differences between them. So, when I was at O5 Rare Tea + Kombucha Bar in Vancouver, Canada, I knew I had to pick up this set along with the Japanese one from last week!
Today, I will be featuring Deb from the Sugared Teacup and I will be also reviewing a Holiday Tea Box she curated for me. I came across Deb when I crossed paths with her on Instagram. Deb has been such a great part of my tea journey.
Ending off the year with an oolong and two black teas. I admit, one big reason why these are the last teas of the year is because of their names: “Wow!” and “Chocolate Mar-TEA-ni”. They seem like fitting teas to end the year off with!
This will be my last Sips by review for the year! That actually makes me sad. I received three boxes and each one was unique and fun! This time there are two blacks, a puerh ball, and a herbal blend in the box!
