Description: “Juicy red & dark berries and organic, beautifully curled green tea.” – via Amoda Monthly Box
Review: Berries are a quintessential part of summer for me, and this blend has a handful of them! The overall appearance of the tea is very pretty, with full berries and blue cornflower petals.
I expected the dry blend to have a fruity smell, but it was actually more earthy with hints of floral. After steeping, the aroma of the wet blend and liquor was much more fruity and berry-like. The liquor especially reminded me of a berry punch that had some floral notes.
The dark golden yellow liquor had some berry and sweet notes that ended off earthy and floral. I found that the tea had a fair bit of astringency. The green tea leaves were tight curls but, most the leaves had unfurled after steeping.
One note when steeping – the recommendations suggested 1 to 3 minutes. I tested at 3, just to see what would happen, and I had already tasted some bitterness. I found at 1 minute, the bitterness was not present (2.5/5 rating).
