I am a dessert kind of gal. If I’m offered dessert, I always have room for it! So, I always am a fan of dessert teas which blend both things I love together!
Description: “A satisfying blend of black tea and bourbon vanilla pieces.”
Review: When I first opened the tin for the blend, I expected a strong vanilla extract smell, although it was more musky than sweet. However, after steeping, the reddish brown liquor was earthy with a very faint hint of sweetness.
The earthy and sweet combo carried through in the hot liquor. However, like other blended teas, letting the liquor cool really did the trick. While similar in profile as when hot, I was able to taste the real bourbon intermix with the vanilla. The vanilla lingered in the mouth and became the dominant flavour at the tail end of the sip. I had expected a stronger vanilla flavour, but I still enjoyed my cup (3/5 rating).
