I personally enjoy candied almonds, so I was interested in seeing how they would taste reimaged as a blend!
Description: “This nutty mix of almond and apples steeps to a cotton candy pink.”
Review: Off the bat, as soon as I opened the tin, I knew why this blend was called “Candied Almonds.” It had a lovely strong nutty and sweet smell. The blend was made out of large chunky pieces of nuts and beetroots. After infusing the blend, the liquor was a pretty pink colour and had a spiced apple baked good aroma.
The liquor started off sweet, followed by some nuttiness. This was intermixed with the underlying sweet beet taste which was a lovely combination. The last notes of the liquor that had the longest staying power was the nuttiness.
I quite enjoyed the pink liquor and taste of this tisane. If anyone is familiar with DAVIDsTEA’s Forever Nuts, this is what this blend reminded me of, due to its nutty profile and pink liquor (3.5/5 rating).
