Naked Teas Galore Berry Green Tea Spoon

Description: “Juicy red & dark berries and organic, beautifully curled green tea.” – via Amoda Monthly Box

Review: Berries are a quintessential part of summer for me, and this blend has a handful of them! The overall appearance of the tea is very pretty, with full berries and blue cornflower petals.

I expected the dry blend to have a fruity smell, but it was actually more earthy with hints of floral. After steeping, the aroma of the wet blend and liquor was much more fruity and berry like. The liquor especially reminded me of a berry punch that had some floral notes.

The dark golden yellow liquor had some berry and sweet notes that ended off earthy and floral. I found that the tea had a fair bit of astringency.  The green tea leaves were tight curls but, most the leaves had unfurled after steeping.

One note when steeping – the recommendations suggested 1 to 3 minutes. I tested at 3, just to see what would happen, and I had already tasted some bitterness. I found at 1 minute, the bitterness was not present (2.5/5 rating).
