Restful sleep is always a goal of mine, so when I see relaxing blends, I want to see how they can be integrated into my sleep routine!
Description: “Relax and unwind with this soothing herbal infusion of calming lavender and rejuvenating spearmint.”
Instructions: 1-2 Perfect Spoonfuls | 16 oz/475 ml | 95℃/200℉ | 5+ minutes
Review: Whenever I smelled the dry blend, it had a very calming aroma ranging from the floral notes of the lavender and rose, to the sweetness from the currants, and the cooling from the spearmint. The blend was very pretty with the berries and fruits, alongside the flower petals and lavender buds. When the water hit dry blend, there was a strong sweet and floral note with some mint. After steeping for over 5 minutes, the wet blend smelled predominantly of lavender with some strawberry and mint.
The liquor filled the room with the dominating smell of lavender, rose, berries, and mint. The liquor was a rose gold colour with little specs of the blend suspended within it. The taste started strong with the lavender and rose, then lingering tartness merging into fruity sweetness and ended with a cooling sensation at the back of the throat. When cooled, the flavours meld together and were a merger of medical, floral, minty and some underlying sweetness that lingered in the mouth.
Lastly, the last few ingredients are ordered slightly differently on the label compared to the website. It appears to be related to the flavouring so, it may just be formatting or a slight tweak. The website also mentioned this blend was not for lattes but I do think it would make a nice refreshing iced tea! I enjoyed the blend overall and it was soothing like it promised (3/5 rating).
