Description: “There’s a perfect tartness from the hibiscus, deep flavour from the rose hips and a herbaceous flavour from the blackberry leaf that you’ll love.” – via Amoda Monthly Box
Review: On the packaging, the tisane had very contrasting steep times, so I wanted to try both. I had never seen such drastic time differences before. The steeping recommendations were between 5 to 20 minutes.
The dry blend smelled like its namesake, like a mossy, woody forest with accents of sweetness from the berries. The liquor and wet blend smelled the same and were more berryish. Lastly, the liquor was a reddish brown.
However, after steeping at both times, I admit I didn’t notice a big difference in taste. For the 5 minute steep, the liquor was very floral but thin in flavour. In contrast, the 20-minute steep only tasted slight stronger but left the mouth feeling very dry. Overall, this was a nice tisane, but I wish it had a stronger flavour. It also might be nice iced (3/5 rating).
